If your solar installer went out of business
More than a hundred residential installers have closed since 2023, including the biggest national names. The pattern is the same every time: the monitoring app goes dark, the support line rings out, the workmanship warranty becomes a bankruptcy claim, and the loan keeps coming. What you should do depends a little on which company it was and a lot on what brand of inverter is on your wall.

Whoever it was, the first step is the same
Find out whether the system is still producing. It usually is. Run the free check with the lifetime energy number from your inverter, then get your own monitoring access back using the guide for your brand. Everything after that is paperwork, and paperwork can wait a week. A dead system can't.
