Freedom Forever went bankrupt. Here's what to do, state by state.
Freedom Forever filed Chapter 11 in April 2026 and converted to Chapter 7 on August 7, 2026, so the company is being liquidated. The last day to file a proof of claim is October 16, 2026, case 26-10522 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Filing is free.
What may count
- A promise in writing that your bills would go down, and they went up
- A roof you paid to fix because of their install
- Money you spent to get the production you were sold
- A deposit, a rebate or a refund that never arrived
If you have the paper for any of those, you may have a claim. Two honest things: customers in a liquidation usually recover a small fraction, sometimes nothing, and filing does not change your loan or your lease. I am not a lawyer.
The October 16 claim deadline has passed. Freedom Forever is in Chapter 7 liquidation (No. 26-10522, District of Delaware), and the last day to file a proof of claim was October 16, 2026. Whether a late claim is possible is a question for a bankruptcy attorney. What still protects your system now: Freedom Forever Chapter 7: what now.
